The Daytime Emmys were pushed to December in the face of the labor disputes in Hollywood last year, but they’re going back to normal. The date of the 2024 ceremony has been set, and the Daytime Emmys are officially returning to their June date on CBS.
After being pushed to December due to Hollywood strikes last year, the upcoming ceremony will take place on June 7 at the Westin Bonaventure Hotel in Los Angeles. CBS will broadcast the ceremony after striking a two-year telecast deal, and the host is yet to be announced.
Adam Sharp, president and CEO of the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, confirmed the new ceremony date and said they’re looking forward to going back to hosting the festivities in June.
“We eagerly anticipate our return in June as we once again partner with CBS to recognize the exceptional and talented individuals who make daytime television great. We’re thrilled to kick off our second half-century of the Daytime Emmys,” said Sharp.
The Primetime Emmys will also follow suit and return to their regular date this awards season. The ceremony will take place on September 15 at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, while the nominations will be announced on July 17.
