2024 Dorian Awards: “Hacks” & “Interview with the Vampire” Lead the Way

The Dorian Awards are one of the biggest celebrations of LGBTQ representation in pop culture, and their list of TV honorees is finally here. Hacks and Interview with the Vampire topped the list of winners at this year’s Dorian TV Awards, winning best TV comedy and drama.

The Dorian Awards are presented by GALECA: The Society of LGBTQ Entertainment Critics, and the organization’s president Walt Hickey congratulated this year’s television winners.

“This group is second to none when it comes to elevating and advocating for innovative, daring work, and celebrating the creative efforts of the future of the film and television industry,” said Hickey in a statement.

Hacks emerged as one of the major winners in the comedy categories and collected the trophy for the best TV comedy. Its stars Jean Smart and Hannah Einbinder won acting awards for their respective performances, while the writing team was honored with the award for best written TV show.

AMC’s adaptation of Anne Rice’s Interview with the Vampire defeated tough competition to be named the best TV drama. It also won the award for the best LGBTQ TV show and best genre TV show. The acting awards in the drama filed with to the Fellow Travelers leading duo Matt Bomer and Jonathan Bailey.
