After a lot of anticipation, the Golden Globes returned to Los Angeles this Sunday, and the list of winners is a true embarrassment of riches. HBO’s Succession led the way with four wins, including the best drama series, followed by FX’s The Bear and Netflix’s Beef with three each.

Succession came into the night with a record-breaking nine nominations, and it managed to take four awards home. The final season of HBO’s hit series defeated tough competition in 1923, The Crown, The Diplomat, The Last of Us, and The Morning Show, to be named the best television series – drama.

Succession owes the rest of its accolades to its amazing cast, including Kieran Culkin (best actor in a drama series), Sarah Snook (best actress in a drama series), and Matthew Macfadyen (best supporting actor).

FX’s dramedy The Bear dominated the comedy field with three awards, including the best TV series – musical or comedy, and acting accolades for Jeremy Allen White and Ayo Edebiri.

As for Netflix’s Beef, this series won the trophy for the best limited series, anthology series, of a motion picture made for television, while its stars Steven Yeun and Ali Wong won acting awards in their respective fields.

The 2024 Golden Globe Awards aired live on CBS on January 7 from Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, California, with Jo Koy hosting the ceremony.
