The Television Critics Association will honor the best TV programs of the past year at the upcoming TCA Awards, and the list of nominations is finally in. FX’s Shōgun and Netflix’s Baby Reindeer and Ripley emerged as the top contenders, with five nominations each.

All three shows are in the running for the main award – program of the year – but they’ll have to face some tough competition to take it home. The list of contenders in this category also includes FX’s culinary dramedy The Bear, the final season of Reservation Dogs, and Max’s acclaimed comedy series Hacks.

This isn’t the only category where these three shows will be going head to head. They’ve all been nominated for outstanding achievement in drama, as well, along with Prime Video’s video game adaptation Fallout, and the latest seasons of FX’s Fargo and HBO’s True Detective: North Country.

The rivalry between Shōgun, Baby Reindeer, and Ripley won’t end there because they’re all contenders for the outstanding new program. Prime Video’s Mr. & Mrs. Smith and Fallout also made the cut, along with the Disney+ animated series X-Men ’97.

The 2024 TCA Awards winners will be announced at The Langham Huntington in Pasadena on Friday, July 12.
