Shōgun is one of the best new shows that the year behind us will be remembered by, and it’s getting credit where credit is due. FX’s historical epic walked away with four awards at this year’s Golden Globe Awards, followed by Hacks and Baby Reindeer with two each.

After shattering records at this year’s Emmy Awards, Shōgun kept its winning streak going at the Golden Globes. It emerged as the winner of the coveted best television series – drama prize, while its stars Hiroyuki Sanada, Anna Sawai, and Tadanobu Asano collected awards for their respective performances in this series.

Hacks also repeated its success from the Emmy Awards, beating tough competition to win the award for the best series – comedy or musical, while its star Jean Smart collected the acting award for her performance in this series.

Netflix’s smash hit Baby Reindeer collected the trophy for the best limited series, anthology series, or motion picture made for television. Jessica Gunning won the award for her supporting performance in this series, while the remaining two acting prizes in the limited series field went to Colin Farrell for The Penguin and Jodie Foster for True Detective: Night Country.

The 2025 Golden Globe Awards aired live on CBS on January 5, with Nikki Glaser serving as the first-time host.
