Brooklyn Nine-Nine Season 6 will get more episodes than expected.

After the show was dropped by Fox, it was picked up by NBC for a sixth season. Unfortunately for fans, the network ordered 13 episodes rather than the typical 22 episodes per previous season.

It has been announced, however, that the network has added five more episodes to its order. That means that there will be 18 episodes in season 6 which is more than fans could have hoped for back when the show was cancelled.

It is also unlikely that the sixth season will be the last. The cancellation has taught those working on the show to be cautious and make sure that they are more prepared if the show faces cancellation by NBC in the future.

Showrunner Dan Goor said: “We’ve learned we’ll never again do the kind of cliffhangers we did after seasons two, three and four because were we to be cancelled after those seasons, I think it would have been really disappointing for our fans.”

Samberg said that this means the cast might end up having to “shoot three endings to the finale”.

There is still no release date for the new season but we know that it will be mid-2019.
