There’s another reboot on the horizon — this one from a different universe.

NBCUniversal has announced that it will be bringing a new version of Battlestar Galactica to its upcoming streaming service.

The “space opera” debuted in 1978 and centered around the surviving crew of the space ship Galactica following the the war with a race of robots called Cylons, which almost wiped out humanity.

The series was then rebooted in 2004 and ran for 4 seasons on the SyFy channel.

The latest version will come from Sam Esmail who has been behind award-winning shows, Mr. Robot and Homecoming.

Details around the production have so far remained rather quiet as the streaming service is only scheduled to launch in April 2020.
