With so many shows being cancelled of late, it’s really nice to hear of one being renewed!
Comedy series Atlanta proved its popularity by scoring itself a fourth series — before its third has even begun production.
“What more can be said about Atlanta than the critical acclaim and accolades that Donald [Glover], Paul [Simms], Dianne [McGunigle], Stephen [Glover], and Hiro [Murai] have earned for two exceptional seasons of what is clearly one of the best shows on television,” President of FX Entertainment, Eric Schrier, said at the Television Critics Association press tour.
“This group of collaborators and cast have created one of the most original, innovative stories of this generation and we are proud to be their partners.”
Atlanta was renewed for a third season in June of last year, but fans are still waiting and hoping that it will make an appearance before the end of 2019.
Production on both season 3 and season 4 is expected to start in the spring.
