A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder created quite a splash when it premiered on Netflix this summer, and its next chapter is just around the corner. Emma Myers will get a chance to solve another mystery after the streaming giant renewed this coming-of-age series for its second season.
Myers leads A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder as Pip Fitz-Amobi, a teenage girl investigating the mysterious killing of a local girl five years ago. Season 2 will see Pip trying to unravel another mystery, according to Netflix’s official logline:
“As Max Hastings’ trial approaches, key witness Jamie Reynolds suddenly disappears and Pip finds herself in a race against time to find him. This new mystery will take Pip to unexpected places as she struggles with the idea of justice, straying even further from the ‘good girl’ she once was.”
In addition to Myers in the lead role, the first season of this series also starred Zain Iqbal, Asha Banks, Raiko Gohara, Jude Morgan-Collie, Yali Topol Margalith, Yasmin Al-Khudhairi, Henry Ashton, Carla Woodcock, Mathew Baynton, Gary Beadle, and Anna Maxwell Martin.
A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder is based on the book trilogy of the same name by Holly Jackson, who will write the second season alongside Poppy Cogan.
