A spin-off for the hit series The Witcher is reportedly in the works.
The Witcher made its debut on Netflix last month, and it has since become one of the highest-rated shows on the streaming platform. In fact, it is so popular that Netflix has already confirmed that a spin-off series is in the works.
The spin-off will be an anime feature titled The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf. Very little information has been given about the new series, which the showrunners said they have been keeping “secret for over a year!”
“The rumors are true, a new Witcher story is in the works!” NX shared on Twitter. “The anime film, The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf, will take us back to a new threat facing the Continent. Brought to you by the Witcher team @LHissrich and @BeauDeMayo, and Studio Mir the studio behind Legend of Korra.”
It is unclear how the spinoff will tie into the series, which has already been confirmed to return for season two. Either way, this is great news for The Witcher fans. If you haven’t seen season one already, it is available for streaming on Netflix now.
