Aaron Paul Talks About His Hopes for Jesse Pinkman After “Breaking Bad”

Aaron Paul in "Breaking Bad"

Aaron Paul has revealed what he believes his Breaking Bad character, Jesse Pinkman, might be up to now.

If you love Breaking Bad and have been watching Better Call Saul, you’ve probably been asking yourself the same question we all have. Will Walt and Jesse ever make an appearance?

We have particularly been wondering about Jesse and what he is up to after the Breaking Bad finale showdown. Did he get caught? Did he ever make it to Alaska? Digital Spy decided that the actor who played Jesse would be a good person to ask about Jesse’s life in the years following Breaking Bad.

“I’d like to think he’s living peacefully somewhere in maybe New Zealand or Canada, making stuff with his hands,” Aaron Paul told Digital Spy. “But the truth is his fingerprints are all over that massacre, and he’s being hunted.

“Who knows, maybe he’ll make an appearance on Better Call Saul. We’ve definitely raised our hands. Anything that [creator] Vince Gilligan asks of any of us, we would just happily say yes, really no matter what it was. Just because we have such faith in him, we know he will steer us.”

He continued: “Who knows? I just don’t know how they would make that happen, because I can’t really play 16 anymore. It would have to be pre-Breaking Bad. I don’t know. I haven’t aged all that much, but I’ve aged somewhat!”

You can watch seasons 1-5 of Breaking Bad and seasons 1-4 of Better Call Saul on Netflix now.
