Grey’s Anatomy will return for its seminal twentieth season this year, and ABC just gave us a taste of things to come. The new teaser for Season 20 of the hit medical drama is here, and it reveals what the next year has in store for the staff of the Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital.
The short clip opens with Dr. Meredith Grey seemingly asking Miranda Bailey, “How long do I have to wait?” Despite the fact Ellen Pompeo is moving to a guest star role to make time for other projects, the promos are still putting her front and center because she’s the show’s most recognizable star.
Season 20 of Grey’s Anatomy will also mark the return of Chandra Wilson as Dr. Miranda Bailey, James Pickens, Jr. as Dr. Richard Webber, Camilla Luddington as Dr. Jo Wilson, Caterina Scorsone as Dr. Amelia Shepherd, Chris Carmack as Dr. Atticus Lincoln, and Kim Raver as Dr. Teddy Altman, among others.
Season 20 of Grey’s Anatomy will return on ABC on March 24, and it will mark the first season not to feature Ellen Pompeo as a series regular. The major creative overhaul will also happen behind the scenes, with Meg Marinis taking over as showrunner after Krista Vernoff left the series.
