Acapulco has been going strong for three seasons on Apple TV+, and the streamer is betting big on its future. The streaming giant is officially bringing this comedy series back for its fourth season.

Acapulco is loosely based on Ken Marino’s 2017 film How to Be a Latin Lover, and it explores Maximo Gallardo Ramos’ rags-to-riches story. Acapulco charts the journey of younger Maximo trying to chase his dreams while working at the hottest resort in Acapulco, while also giving us a window into the life of the older version of this character, who’s a successful mogul living in Malibu.

Acapulco star and executive producer Eugenio Derbez addressed the show’s renewal and said it’s beyond thrilling to see Apple TV+ order another season.

“I’m incredibly grateful to our amazing partners, the talented cast and crew, and especially to the audience, whose love and support have made this journey possible. It’s rare for shows centered on Latino stories to make it this far, and that makes this milestone even more meaningful,” said Derbez in a statement.

In addition to Eugenio Derbez and Enrique Arrizon playing the older and younger versions of the main character, the cast of Acapulco also includes Fernando Carsa, Damián Alcázar, Enrique Arrizón, Camila Perez, Vanessa Bauche, Regina Reynoso, Raphael Alejandro, Jessica Collins, Chord Overstreet, Rafael Cebrián, Regina Orozco, and Carlos Corona.
