Adi Shankar to Produce “Legend of Zelda” TV Series Based on Video Game

Producer Adi Shankar is discussing the production of a new series based on the video game The Legend of Zelda. Shankar recently posted an Instagram video saying that he was “working with an iconic Japanese gaming company to adapt one of their iconic video game series into a series.”

The Legend of Zelda debuted on the Nintendo Entertainment System in 1986. The game was created by Shigeru Miyamoto and Takashi Tezuka. Over time, more than 17 sequels were released and Zelda franchise has become one of the most popular in the world.

So far, Nintendo have yet to confirm anything. “We have nothing to announce on this topic,” their spokesperson said.
