Adria Arjona is fresh off starring in Richard Linklater’s film Hit Man, and she’s gearing up for her next big project. She landed one of the key roles in Amazon Prime Video’s series Criminal alongside Richard Jenkins.
Criminal draws inspiration from the award-winning graphic novel series of the same name created by Ed Brubaker and Sean Phillips. It will center on “an interlocking universe of crime stories” and Arjona’s character Greta will be at the center of one of them.
She’s been described as a sharp-tongued top-level car thief and driver, who’s been battling with herself about how to escape the only life she’s ever known after she lost her husband in a bank job gone bad.
To make the whole thing even more difficult, she’s left on her own to take care of her daughter Angie, and she’s looking for a big score with a major payout she can use to start a new life with Angie.
Arjona most recently starred in Richard Linklater’s action comedy Hit Man opposite Glen Powell. She has multiple notable TV credits under her belt, including roles in the second season of True Detective, HBO’s mini-series Irma Vep, and the Disney+ Star Wars series Andor.
