Rick and Morty is one of the most successful shows that Adult Swim has in store, and they’re not letting go of it anytime soon. The cult animated series will continue its run for at least two more seasons after Adult Swim renewed it through Season 12.

Created for Adult Swim by Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon, Rick and Morty became a true cult classic since its premiere in 2013. It centers on the interdimensional adventures of the cynical mad scientist Rick Sanchez and his gullible grandson Morty Smith, as they travel to other planets and dimensions in Rick’s flying saucer.

Michael Ouweleen, president of Adult Swim, confirmed the show’s renewal and praised it for setting a new standard in adult animation from its very first season.

“Dan, Scott, and the rest of the immensely talented team behind Rick and Morty are constantly outdoing themselves, and I’ll be joining the millions of fans around the world in looking forward to more adventures in the years to come,” said Ouweleen in a statement.

Rick and Morty will return for Season 8 next year, and there’s at least four more seasons on the way. This hit series has been renewed through Season 10 just last year, and its latest renewal pushes it through at least 2029.
