NBC’s pilot Grosse Pointe Garden Society is rounding out a pretty impressive cast, and another amazing actress just hopped on board. Aja Naomi King is the latest star to join Melissa Fumero and AnnaSophia Robb in this promising drama pilot.

Grosse Pointe Garden Society will center on four members of a suburban garden club from different walks of life, whose peaceful hobby takes a sinister turn when they get caught up in murder and mischief while struggling to make their conventional lives bloom.

King’s character Catherine is described as “an unhappily married mother of two younger children, a realtor and active member of the Garden Society who works off some of her loneliness with a very juicy secret.”

She’ll be joined by Melissa Fumero (Brooklyn Nine-Nine), AnnaSophia Robb (Dr. Death), and Ben Rappaport (Ozark), who’ve been cast as Birdie, Alice, and Brett, the remaining three members of Grosse Pointe Garden Society.

Aja Naomi King rose to prominence while starring opposite Viola Davis in the legal drama How To Get Away With Murder. She most recently appeared in the mini-series Lessons in Chemistry alongside Brie Larson, which earned her a Critics’ Choice Television Awards nomination for the best supporting actress in a movie/miniseries.
