Alex Rider is officially returning for its third season on Freevee, but its ending is just around the corner. The upcoming third season of the spy thriller series will premiere this April and it will mark the show’s final chapter.

Based on Anthony Horowitz’s book series of the same name, Alex Rider centers on a London teen who is recruited by the MI6 to infiltrate a corrective academy for the wayward offspring of the ultra-rich.

Otto Farrant will lead the Season 3 cast as Alex Rider, and he’ll be joined by Stephen Dillane, Brenock O’Connor, Ronkẹ Adékọluẹ́jọ́, and Marli Siu, plus newcomers to the cast Sofia Helin, Shelley Conn, Kevin McNally, and Jason Wong.

Horowitz, who serves as one of the show’s executive producers in addition to writing the original Alex Rider novels, is looking forward to seeing the final chapter of this series come to life.

“It’s been such a great experience seeing the fan reaction to the first two seasons of Alex Rider. I am thrilled this upcoming season will focus on Scorpia, as the story will lead Alex and viewers to question everything they’ve learned so far,” said Horowitz in a statement.

Season 3 of Alex Rider will premiere on Freevee on April 5 and it will feature eight episodes.
