Alicia Silverstone and Mark Feuerstein have been added to the cast of the Netflix comedy.

The streaming giant’s upcoming adaptation of Ann M. Martin’s best-selling book series is beginning to take shape with Silverstone and Feuerstein cast in the series. According to Entertainment Weekly, Silverstone is set to play Elizabeth Thomas-Brewer, mother of Kristy Thomas and love interest of Watson Brewer, played by Feuerstein.

The 10-episode half-hour dramedy was picked up straight to series in February. It follows the friendship and adventures of five best friends — Kristy Thomas, Mary Anne Spier, Claudia Kishi, Stacey McGill and Dawn Schafer, in Stoneybrook, Connecticut.

Martin’s books were previously adapted for the small screen in 1990 with a 13-episode TV show.

Production is currently underway.
