Dexter: Original Sin rounded out a pretty impressive cast, and its ensemble is still expanding. Amanda Brooks will join this prequel series in a recurring role when it kicks off production in Los Angeles later this summer.

Dexter: Original Sin will take us to 1991 Miami and see the young Dexter Morgan giving in to his bloodthirsty urges and making a transition from a student to an avenging serial killer. He’ll find support in his adoptive father Harry, who’ll help him develop his signature code and embark on a killing spree without getting on law enforcement’s radar.

Patrick Gibson will lead the cast of this prequel series, and he’ll be joined by Christian Slater as Harry Morgan, Patrick Gibson as Dexter Morgan, Molly Brown as Debra Morgan, Patrick Dempsey as Aaron Spencer, James Martinez as Angel Batista, Christina Milian as Maria LaGuerta.

Brooks joined the cast as Becca Spencer, the ex-wife of Dempsey’s character Aaron Spencer, who serves as the Captain of the Miami Metro Homicide Department and has a decades-long relationship with Harry Morgan.

Brooks’ TV credits also include roles in General Hospital, Outsiders, and Nashville, and she’ll next be seen in the Amazon Prime Video series Cross alongside Aldis Hodge.
