The final season of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel is just around the corner, and Amazon teased it by dropping a brand-new trailer. The promotional video shows the begging of the end for the acclaimed series, as Midge Maisel makes one last attempt to find success in the world of stand-up comedy.

The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel premiered in 2017 and it follows a recently divorced housewife Midge Maisel (Rachel Brosnahan) who discovers she has a knack for stand-up comedy. As the seasons progressed, we watched her rise through the ranks of the male-dominated entrainment industry of the 60s, with the help of her manager Susie (Alex Borstein).

Brosnahan and Borstein will return to their respective roles in Season 5, along with Michael Zegen, Marin Hinkle, Tony Shalhoub, Kevin Pollak, Caroline Aaron, Luke Kirby, Reid Scott, Jason Ralph, and Alfie Fuller.

The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel was developed for Amazon by Amy Sherman-Palladino and Daniel Palladino, and they’ve always envisioned it with a four- or five-season arc. Since its premiere in 2017, the series won 20 Primetime Emmy Awards, including outstanding comedy series.

Season 5 will arrive on Amazon Prime Video on April 14, with a three-episode premiere, followed by six episodes airing weekly.
