Reacher is one of the most popular series that Amazon Prime Video has in store, and the streaming giant is betting big on its future. The show’s third season is yet to see the light of day, but the action crime drama based on Lee Child’s hit book series is officially coming back for Season 4.
Alan Ritchson leads this hit series in the role of Jack Reacher, an army veteran using his formidable strength and intellect to solve crimes while traveling as a drifter across the United States. The upcoming third season is based on Child’s book Persuader, and it will see Reacher go undercover to rescue an informant held captive by a haunting foe from his past.
Vernon Sanders, head of television at Amazon MGM Studios, announced the show’s early renewal and praised their partners at Skydance and CBS Studios for bringing this series to life.
“Reacher has become a phenomenon that continues to resonate with our global customers beyond our wildest expectations and we are thrilled to bring the series back for an additional season. We are looking forward to more action and adventure from the immensely talented team behind the series,” said Sanders in a statement.
In addition to renewing Reacher for Season 4, Prime Video recently ordered a spin-off series starring Maria Sten as her fan-favorite character Frances Neagley.
