Upload took us on quite a journey over the course of its first three seasons, but the time has come to leave Lakeview behind. Amazon Prime Video’s acclaimed sci-fi comedy will wrap up its story with the upcoming fourth and final season.
Upload took us to a nearby future where we can choose to have our consciousness uploaded into a virtual afterlife after dying. The series follows the computer programmer Nathan Brown, who comes to learn that the lavish digital afterlife Lakeview isn’t as perfect as it seems after dying under mysterious circumstances.
Robbie Amell and Andy Allo led the show’s ensemble cast, alongside Allegra Edwards, Zainab Johnson, Kevin Bigley, Andrea Rosen, Owen Daniels, and Josh Banday.
Vernon Sanders, Amazon MGM Studios’ head of TV, said they’re thrilled to bring Upload back for its fourth and final installment.
“We are grateful to Greg and the fantastic team behind the series and while goodbyes are bittersweet, we know that the series will be uploaded to its well-deserved idealistic afterlife,” said Sanders in a statement.
Upload creator, showrunner, and executive producer Greg Daniels echoed his words and said he’s thrilled to give the fans the ending they deserve, adding he conceived this series with a four-season arc.
