It’s only been a few months since Ryan Murphy announced his upcoming ABC series Doctor Odyssey, and its release date is already on the horizon. The new trailer for this series hit the shelves ahead of its September debut, and it teases a cruise ship setting.

ABC is yet to share any plot details about this series, but the teaser pretty much reveals what it’s all about. It will be a medical procedural set on a cruise ship, where each day brings a new medical emergency on open seas and doctors are left to their own devices.

Joshua Jackson leads the cast of this series, and he’s joined by several supporting players in the new teaser. Don Johnson addresses Jackson in the short clips, telling him, “Doctor, it’s your job to keep everybody alive.” Phillipa Soo and Sean Teale as members of Doctor Odyssey’s staff.

Murphy co-wrote the series alongside Jon Robin Baitz and Joe Baken, and they serve as executive producers alongside Jackson, Eric Paquette, Alexis Martin Woodall, Eric Kovtun, Scott Robertson, and Nissa Diederich. Paris Barclay is also attached as the EP and one of the directors.

Doctor Odyssey will premiere on September 26 on ABC, and it will also be available for streaming on Hulu.
