Snowpiercer has been looking for a new home ever since TNT announced its cancelation last year, and the search is finally over. AMC agreed to pick up the post-apocalyptic dystopian series for its fourth season after TNT scrapped it in early 2023.

Based on the graphic novel Le Transperceneige by Jacques Lob, Snowpiercer is set on a moving train with 1,001 carriages, that’s been circling the globe for years after the world has become a frozen wasteland.

Jennifer Connelly, Daveed Diggs, Mickey Sumner, Alison Wright, Iddo Goldberg, and Susan Park lead the ensemble cast of this series, and they’ll return in Season 4 alongside several newcomers, including Clark Gregg and Michael Aronov.

Paul Zbyszewski will serve as the showrunner of the upcoming Season 4, and he thanked AMC for giving this series a new home.

“We’re so thrilled the train has finally found a home, and we’re incredibly grateful to everyone at AMC and Tomorrow Studios for giving the fans of Snowpiercer a chance to enjoy season four with all the hard work this amazing cast and crew put into it,” he said in a statement.

The first three seasons of Snowpiercer will become available on AMC+ later this year ahead of the Season 4 premiere in early 2025.
