Season 3 of FX’s limited series franchise American Crime Story will center on former US President Bill Clinton’s presidency, and more specifically his impeachment.
The network announced Impeachment: American Crime Story Thursday as the third edition of its acclaimed anthology.
“Impeachment: American Crime Story unravels the national scandal that swept up Paula Jones, Monica Lewinsky, and Linda Tripp as principal characters in the country’s first impeachment proceedings in over a century,” FX’s official description reads.
Beanie Feldstein is set to portray former White House intern Monica Lewinsky, Sarah Paulson will play Lewinsky confidante Linda Tripp, and Annaleigh Ashford will portray Clinton accuser Paula Jones.
The installment is adapted from Jeffrey Toobin’s bestselling book A Vast Conspiracy: The Real Story of the Sex Scandal That Nearly Brought Down a President.
The third installment of ACS is slated for sometime next year.
