American Horror Story: Apocalypse Sees Viewing Figure Plummet

American Horror Story: Apocalypse

American Horror Story: Apocalypse has premiered with the lowest viewings for a season opener of the series yet.

The seventh season of the hit TV series has had its lowest viewing numbers yet. Although the opening episode has received great reviews from those hid watch, it was still the show’s lowest-rated opener ever.

Reportedly the first episode saw 3.08 million viewers tune in. This is a considerable drop from the 3.93 million who tuned in to Cult last year. Apocalypse has even fallen behind the show’s debut season Murder House, which attracted 3.18 million viewers.

Cast member Leslie Grossman urges watches to patiently wait as the best is yet to come.

“I can promise you that the dots are going to connect and it’s going to be really satisfying,” she insisted. “But it’s also a new take on a story, so I think it’s going to be a really satisfying pay-off for fans.”

She added: “I would hope that they could just let the story unfold and see the journey that we’re being taken on, because it’s going to be very, very satisfying and really clever and really smart in a way that they’re piecing this together.

“There’s a reason for everything.”
