“American Horror Story” Season 8 Will Feature “Murder House”-“Coven” Crossover

According to Ryan Murphy, the next installment of American Horror Story will be a crossover of the Murder House and Coven seasons.

The producer of the FX anthology series took to Twitter on Thursday to announce the news, referencing his witches from Coven.

“The Coven/Murder House AHS crossover season won’t be happening next year…because it’s happening THIS YEAR. AHS #8 WITCHES RULE THIS SEPTEMBER,” Murphy wrote.

Murder House, which stars Connie Britton, Dermot Mulroney, Evan Peters and Taissa Farmiga, was the show’s first season in 2011. While Coven aired in 2013, starring Farmiga, Peters, Sarah Paulson, Frances Conroy, Lily Rabe, Emma Roberts, Denis O’Hare, Kathy Bates and Jessica Lange.

Murphy already revealed that Paulson, Bates, and Peters would return to star in season 8. Paulson played the role of Billie Dean Howard in Murder House and Cordelia Foxx in Coven. Bates only joined the show in Coven as Madame Delphine LaLaurie. As for Peters, he played Tate Langdon in Murder House, and Kyle Spencer in Coven. The latest season also casts Cheyenne Jackson, Billy Eichner, Adina Porter, Leslie Grossman and Joan Collins.

The co-creator and showrunner has also suggested that Lady Gaga, who co-starred in the Hotel and Roanoke seasons, would play a part in the Murder House-Coven crossover after disclosing in Roanoke that her character was the original “supreme” witch from Coven, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

AHS Season 8 will return n September on FX.
