Season 18 of American Idol will be giving fan favorites a second chance at the title.
An announcement was made on the show’s Twitter page that they would be bringing back some familiar faces and the contestants retuning were revealed on Dancing With the Stars. The returning contestants are Logan Johnson (Season 17), Layla Springs (Season 16), and Shawn Robinson (Season 17).
American Idol will team up with the American Music Awards to air the auditions at the show on Sunday, November 24th. The contestants will tape an audition at Whisky a Go Go nightclub in West Hollywood. The singer returning will be decided by viewers who will vote for their favorite on American Idol’s website. The winner will be announced on the season finale of Dancing With the Stars on Monday, November 25th.
Also returning for the 18th season is host Ryan Seacrest and judges Katy Perry, Lionel Richie, and Luke Bryan.
American Idol will air in February 2020.
