Andrea Riseborough and Domhnall Gleeson are no strangers to emotionally devastating performances and their next project has been described as “a love story for the ages”. The first trailer for Alice & Jack is here and it sees the titular couple slipping in and out of each other’s life over the course of 15 years.
This series centers on Alice, a single woman invested in her career while grappling with a childhood trauma, whose life turns upside down after a chance encounter with Jack, a lonely yet charming scientist she meets at a bar.
This series will see the love story play between these two very different people over 15 years, making us wonder if they’ll ever be able to make the sacrifice that true love demands.
“When Alice and Jack first meet, they’re bound by a connection so powerful it seems nothing can break it, but will their path lead them to a place of happiness and togetherness? Or will life and their own emotional complexities get in the way?” reads the official logline.
In addition to the leading duo, Alice & Jack will also star Aisling Bea (This Way Up), Aimee Lou Wood (S-x Education), and Sunil Patel (Love at First Sight). It will feature six episodes, set to premiere on PBS Masterpiece on March 17.
