Apple TV+ has many exciting new shows coming our way this spring, and Palm Royale is one of the very best. The first trailer for this period comedy is here, and it sees Kristen Wiig trying to infiltrate one of the most exclusive Palm Beach clubs.

Palm Royale was created by Abe Sylvia, and it’s loosely based on Juliet McDaniel’s book Mr. and Mrs. American Pie. Apple TV+ describes it as a true underdog story that follows Maxine Simmons, as she tries to break into Palm Beach’s high society during the late 60s.

“As Maxine attempts to cross that impermeable line between the haves and the have-nots, Palm Royale asks the same question that still baffles us today: ‘How much of yourself are you willing to sacrifice to get what someone else has?’” reads Apple’s official logline.

In addition to the SNL veteran Kristen Wiig in the lead role, the star-studded cast of this series also includes Ricky Martin, Josh Lucas, Leslie Bibb, Amber Chardae Robinson, Kaia Gerber, Laura Dern, and Allison Janney, with special guest stars Carol Burnett and Bruce Dern.

Palm Royale will arrive on Apple TV+ on March 20, with the three-episode premiere, while the remaining seven episodes will air weekly.
