Disclaimer is one of the most star-studded new series coming to Apple TV+ this fall, and the streamer just teased it with a new trailer. Cate Blanchett leads Alfonso Cuarón’s gripping psychological thriller about an acclaimed journalist harboring a dark secret.

According to its official logline, Disclaimer stars Blanchett as the acclaimed journalist Catherine Ravenscroft, who “built her reputation revealing the misdeeds and transgressions of others. When she receives a novel from an unknown author, she is horrified to realize she is now the main character in a story that exposes her darkest secrets.”

In addition to the Oscar winner Blanchett in the lead role, the star-studded cast of Disclaimer will also include Sacha Baron Cohen, Kodi Smit-McPhee, Kevin Kline, Lesley Manville, Louis Partridge, Leila George, Hoyeon, and Indira Varma. It was created for Apple TV+ by the Oscar-winning filmmaker Alfonso Cuarón, who wrote and directed every episode, and it marks his first foray into television.

Disclaimer had its world premiere at the Venice Film Festival, where it was met with rave reviews and a six-minute standing ovation, before also premiering at the Toronto Film Festival. It will debut on Apple TV+ on October 11 with the first two episodes, while the remaining five will stream weekly.
