Apple TV+ did a great job adapting Laura Dave’s bestselling novel The Last Thing He Told Me, and they’re bringing it back for another chapter. Dave’s book is getting a sequel in 2025, which is set to hit the shelves ahead of the recently announced Season 2 of the Apple TV+ series.

Jennifer Garner leads the hit thriller series as Hannah Hall, a woman who finds herself forming a complicated relationship with her teenage stepdaughter Bailey (Angourie Rice) while trying to search for her husband (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau), who mysteriously disappeared.

Garner, who also serves as one of the show’s executive producers, described this series as one of her career highlights, adding she’s excited to give audiences even more with this next chapter.

“I’m thrilled to get to tell more of Hannah’s story – I couldn’t have said yes more quickly to Season 2. These characters and their story mean so much to me, as I know they do to the many who have championed our show,” said Garner in a statement.

Dave herself co-created the adaptation of her hit novel for Apple TV+ with Academy Award winner Josh Singer, and they both serve as executive producers along with Garner and Hello Sunshine’s Reese Witherspoon and Lauren Neustadter.
