Aubrey Plaza finally received her first Emmy nomination for the second season of The White Lotus, but she’s yet to watch a single episode. She recently opened up about her role in HBO’s acclaimed anthology series and the reason why she still hasn’t seen it is pretty on-brand.
Plaza admitted she’s yet to see Season 2 in a video interview for The Wall Street Journal, and her reasoning is pretty hilarious.
“To be honest, I had trouble opening my HBO Max account when I was trying to watch it originally. I couldn’t figure out the password and I usually just give up when I can’t figure out the passwords. I just can’t handle things like that,” she explained.
Considering Plaza’s deadpan sense of humor, this could’ve been a joke and a dig at the current state of physical media, since she concluded her statement by saying, “I’d love a DVD, but they don’t send DVD sets anymore. I ask them every time.”
Plaza received her first Emmy and Golden Globes nomination for her supporting turn in the second season of The White Lotus but lost out to her co-star Jennifer Coolidge at both ceremonies. She shared the SAG Award for outstanding performance by an ensemble in a drama series with the rest of the cast.
