After a lot of anticipation, Avatar: The Last Airbender finally premiered on Netflix and made quite a splash during its debut week. The live-action remake of the beloved anime series topped the streamer’s TV list with 21.2 million views during its first four days.

Based on the hit Nickelodeon series of the same name, Avatar: The Last Airbender centers on the last living Airbender, the twelve-year-old Aang, who must master the powers of the four elements to save the world and fulfill his destiny as the next Avatar.

Gordon Cormier leads the ensemble cast of this series as Aang, alongside Kiawentiio as Katara, Ian Ousley as Sokka, Dallas Liu as Prince Zuko, Paul Sun-Hyung Lee as Uncle Iroh, Ken Leung as Commander Zhao, and Daniel Dae Kim as Fire Lord Ozai.

Avatar: The Last Airbender premiered on Netflix on February 22 and made it to the Top 10 in 92 countries. It amassed 21.2 million views during its opening weekend, in just four days of availability, to soar to No. 1 on Netflix’s Top 10 English-language TV list.

Surprisingly enough, Avatar: The Last Airbender wasn’t Netflix’s most-watched title this week across the board. The Swedish natural disaster thriller The Abyss attracted a slightly bigger audience, with 22.3 million views on the non-English film list.
