There’s a lot of buzz surrounding the next season of Beef, and we finally know what to expect from the second chapter of this acclaimed anthology series. Netflix shared Season 2 plot details and confirmed it would be led by Oscar Isaac, Carey Mulligan, Charles Melton, and Cailee Spaeny.
According to its official logline, Season 2 will see “a young couple witnesses an alarming fight between their boss and his wife, triggering chess moves of favors and coercion in the elitist world of a country club and its Korean billionaire owner.”
There’s been a lot of rumors surrounding the Season 2 casting, and it’s previously been reported that Oscar Isaac (Moon Knight), Carey Mulligan (Promising Young Woman), Charles Melton (May December), and Cailee Spaeny (Priscilla) are circling this project. Their casting has been confirmed, with Beef marking the reunion between the Inside Llewyn Davis co-stars Isaac and Mulligan.
Beef was created for Netflix by Lee Sung Jin, and its first season was a major hit for the streamer. It starred Steven Yeun and Ali Wong as two dysfunctional strangers whose road rage incident escalates into a prolonged feud. It went on to win many major awards including an Emmy and Golden Globe for the best limited or anthology series.
