Former Doctor Who companion Billie Piper is scheduled to return in a brand new, co-created TV series titled I Hate Suzie.
The series will run for eight episodes and tells the story of a woman, Suzie, who is targeted by a mobile phone hacker. It sounds kind of like a Black Mirror episode given a new genre when everything Suzie would prefer to keep private is revealed to the public.
The show, which will air on Now TV, is described as: “bold, bracing, funny drama about the moment in life when the mask slips, asking if any of us can survive being well and truly ‘known'”.
Piper said she feels she “created something timely and not for the faint-hearted,” adding “If you too suffer with anxiety, shame, compulsive lying but like a laugh, please tune in at some point.”
I Hate Suzie has not yet received a release date, but it is on the cards for next year.
