Just when we thought that Mike White finally rounded out the full cast of The White Lotus Season 3, he found a way to wow us again. The third season of the hit anthology series found another amazing cast member in Lalisa Manobal, best known as a member of Blackpink.
Fans of the K-pop girl group Blackpink know Lalisa Manobal as Lisa, but she’ll be credited under her given name in this series. The White Lotus will mark her acting debut, and she’s not the first Blackpink singer to give acting a shot. She’s following in the footsteps of Jennie Ruby Jane, who appeared in HBO’s short-lived limited series The Idol.
The identity of Lisa’s The White Lotus character remains a mystery, but we know that Season 3 will feature a multigenerational group of characters, including a patriarch, a female corporate executive, an actress, a couple of mothers, including a country club wife, a misfit, and a yogi.
Season 3 production will kick off in Thailand this month, and the cast will also include Leslie Bibb, Dom Hetrakul, Jason Isaacs, Michelle Monaghan, Parker Posey, Carrie Coon, Natasha Rothwell, Walton Goggins, Patrick Schwarzenegger, Aimee Lou Wood, and Tayme Thapthimthong, among others.
