The third season of Bridgerton caused quite a stir since premiering earlier this month, and its viewership numbers reflect its enormous success. The third season of the hit period drama easily topped Netflix’s latest Top 10 chart, in addition to helping the previous two seasons enter the top five.
After securing 45.1 million views during its debut weekend, the third season of Bridgerton returned to No. 1 during its first full tracking week. It attracted 25.3 million views during its second week across just four episodes since Netflix decided to split it into two parts, with Part 2 premiering on June 13.
The success of the third season increased the overall interest in the Bridgerton franchise, and Season 1 and Season 2 made it to the list at No. 2 and No. 4. The spin-off series Queen Charlotte: Bridgerton Story also made the cut, returning to the list at No. 8.
The third season of Bridgerton chronicles the blooming romance between Penelope (Nicola Coughlin) and Colin (Luke Newton). After giving up her crush on Colin at the end of the last season, Penelope is determined to find herself a husband. Her luck turns when Colin decides to help her out in an attempt to win back her friendship, only to realize he wants to be more than friends.
