Shortly after boarding the second season of Netflix’s hit series The Night Agent, Brittany Snow landed a lead role in another high-profile TV project. Pitch Perfect star will appear opposite Malin Åkerman in the upcoming Starz series The Hunting Wives.

Based on May Cobb’s novel of the same name, The Hunting Wives will center on Sophie O’Neil (Snow), who finds her life consumed by obsession, seduction, and murder after moving from the East Coast to deep East Texas with her family and succumbing to the irresistible charms of a conniving socialite Margo Bank (Åkerman).

Rebecca Cutter adapted Cobb’s novel for Starz and serves as its writer and showrunner, in addition to executive producing the series with Cobb and 3 Arts’ Erwin Stoff. The Hunting Wives is expected to feature a total of eight episodes, and the production will kick off in Charlotte, North Carolina this spring.

The Hunting Wives isn’t the only major TV project that Snow is working on right now. This casting announcement comes shortly after she joined Gabriel Basso in the second season of The Night Agent. She’ll play the character named Alice, described as Peter Sutherland’s partner and mentor in his first assignment in Night Action.
