Season eight is good news, but fans are still waiting until 2020 for season seven to air. The show’s co-producer Dan Goor previously told Digital Spy that season seven will bring back a lot of fan favorites.

“I think we’re gonna bring back a lot of our favourites, who I think are also fan favourites,” he said. “We’re hoping to have a Pimento episode, we’re hoping to have a Pontiac Bandit episode obviously [and] hoping to have Marc Evan Jackson.

“And then we’re also hoping to do a few episodes that break the form in the way we did last season because that’s interesting for us and challenging.”

Season seven of Brooklyn Nine-Nine will return February 2020.
