It’s been a few years since Busy Philipps hosted her talk show Busy Tonight on E!, and she’s getting ready to give it another try. Girls5eva star will make her late-night comeback with Busy This Week, set to air on the streaming service QVC+ later this spring.
This unscripted talk show will see Philipps give us her take on whatever has kept us busy this week. Each half-hour episode will feature celebrity guest interviews, personal stories, laugh-out-loud moments, plus a healthy dose of retail therapy.
Philipps is executive producing this show alongside Caissie St. Onge and Michael Gleason, and their main goal was to create a late-night show experience where women feel seen.
“When we tried to get a seat at the late-night table to bring this concept to life, there didn’t seem to be any room for women. But when we came to QVC+, they immediately recognized this was something special and we recognized their platform was perfect for reaching our audience,” said Philipps in a statement to Variety.
Busy This Week will premiere on QVC+ on May 8, and the first season will feature 10 episodes airing weekly on Wednesdays. Philipps will also return for four holiday-themed episodes in November and December.
