The love is set to continue when Outlander returns for its fifth season.
The relationship between Claire and Jamie has been the cornerstone throughout the British period drama which finds Caitriona Balfe’s character transported into the past 200 years ago.
“It’s wonderful to be able to play a relationship that keeps growing and growing, and deepening and deepening. And I think that that’s something that you really see evidence of this season,” Balfe said New York Comic-Con. “It’s just that time and just that the love that they have for each other, it just keeps expanding. And you know, you don’t think that that’s possible from Season 1, but it really does. I mean, they’re there for each other no matter what. They support each other through really tough, tough times. It’s just their knowledge of each other and how intimately they know what’s going on inside each other. I think it’s really beautiful.”
Season 5 of Outlander is set to premiere on February 16th, 2020, while the show has already been renewed for a 6thseason.
