Callum Turner is fresh off starring in the Apple TV+ series Masters of the Air, and he’s already gearing up for his next collaboration with the streamer. The British actor landed a lead role in the TV adaptation of William Gibson’s cult cyberpunk novel Neuromancer.

According to the streamer’s official logline, this series will follow a “damaged, top-rung super-hacker named Case who is thrust into a web of digital espionage and high stakes crime with his partner Molly, a razor-girl assassin with mirrored eyes, aiming to pull a heist on a corporate dynasty with untold secrets.”

William Gibson published Neuromancer in 1984, and this cult novel is often credited for birthing the cyberpunk genre. It made history as the only novel to ever win all three major sci-fi awards – Nebula Award, Philip K. Dick Award, and Hugo Award – and marked the start of the author’s Sprawl trilogy.

Apple’s adaptation of Neuromancer was co-created by its showrunner Graham Roland and JD Dillard, who’ll direct the pilot. It will feature a total of ten episodes.

Turner most recently starred in the war drama mini-series Masters of the Air. His notable credits also include the Fantastic Beasts franchise, the films Emma and The Boys on the Boat, and the TV series War & Peace and The Capture.
