Run the Burbs became quite a hit in Canada after premiering last year, and it will soon take the whole world by storm! Hulu struck a deal with Fifth Season to drop the first two seasons of this hit series on their streaming platform just in time for New Year’s Eve.

Run the Burbs hails from Kim’s Convenience star Andrew Phung, who co-created it alongside Scott Townend and plays one of the lead roles. He stars as Andrew Pham, who moves with his family to the fictional city of Rockridge and embraces a different approach to living his life in the suburbs.

In addition to Phung in the lead role, the series also stars Rakhee Morzaria, Zoriah Wong, Roman Pesino, Ali Hassan, and Julie Nolke.

Prentiss Fraser, Fifth Season’s president of TV distribution, hailed Run the Burbs as the latest in line of CBC’s “incredible home-grown hits” and added they’re looking forward to a partnership with Hulu.

“Run The Burbs is definitely a continuation of this tradition. Hulu is the perfect partner to bring the Pham family to audiences in the U.S., and we couldn’t be more excited for Andrew’s hilarious, uplifting, and inclusive project to launch on the service,” said Fraser in a statement.

Run the Burbs will arrive on Hulu on December 31, while the third season of the show will premiere on CBC on January 9, 2024.
