“Carrie” Gets Limited Series Adaptation

Chloë Grace Moretz and Ansel Elgort in "Carrie" (2013)

FX has a new and exciting limited TV series en route.

The network is reimagining Stephen King’s 1974 novel Carrie for the small screen.

The project is in the early stages of development. It is the latest adaptation of the iconic horror novel about Carrie White, a high school misfit, who discovers she has telekinetic powers. The most recent adaptation was the 2013 feature film starring Chloe Grace Moretz as the titular character, but the most iconic adaptation of the story is still Brian De Palma’s 1976 movie starring Sissy Spacek.

Collider was first to report the news.
