The second season of The Last of Us is underway, and its cast is getting more amazing by the day. The Emmy-winning actress Catherine O’Hara is the latest star to join the show’s ensemble in the mystery role before Season 2 kicks off production later this month.

O’Hara joined HBO’s post-apocalyptic series in an “undisclosed role”, and she’ll be featured in Season in a guest starring capacity. She’s the first star to join this season in a mystery role, following in the footsteps of Kaitlyn Dever as Abby, Isabela Merced as Dina, and Young Mazino as Jesse.

Even though we don’t know who O’Hara will be playing, her role will probably be juicy, since The Last of Us has a habit of casting A-list stars in tiny roles with major award-winning potential. Just last month, Nick Offerman and Storm Reid took home Emmy Awards for their guest performances, after this series dominated guest acting categories with seven nominations.

The Last of Us is expected to kick off Season 2 production later this month in Vancouver, Canada. Pedro Pascal will return as the hardened survivor Joel, who’s trying to smuggle a teenage girl Ellie (Bella Ramsey) out of a dangerous quarantine zone.
