CBS gave us one of the signature police procedural dramas of the 2010s with Blue Bloods, but its final chapter is on the horizon. The beloved cop drama led by Tom Selleck will get a well-deserved farewell with the upcoming 14th season, set to premiere next year.

Over the course of the past decades, Blue Bloods chronicles the trials and tribulations of the Reagan family, who have a long history working in New York City law enforcement. The ensemble cast was led by the Hollywood veteran Tom Selleck and also included Donnie Wahlberg, Bridget Moynahan, Len Cariou, and Will Estes.

Following the show’s cancelation, Selleck released an emotional statement, saying it’s been an honor and a privilege to work on a show that celebrated the people who protect New York City, while also displaying the importance of family.

“Working alongside these incredible actors, writers, producers, directors and crew has been a dream come true and I’m grateful to have been a part of this extraordinary group for over 275 episodes. We offer heartfelt gratitude to the fans who gathered with us for dinner every Friday night,” said Selleck.

The 18-episode Season 14 of Blue Bloods will be divided into two parts. The first one will premiere on CBS and Paramount+ on February 16, while the second is set for the fall 2024 release.
