“You can’t spell funeral without f-u-n.”

CBS has pulled its pilot production commitment for FUN.

The pilot was set to star standout Ugly Betty alums, Michael Urie and Becki Newton.

In FUN, Urie and Newton star as a brother-sister duo who always encourage each other to have fun and celebrate life — in spite of the fact that the family business is a funeral home — no matter what hardship life is currently serving up. The brother then returns homes to help his sister run the struggling business after his emotional and devastating break-up with, well, show business.

The multi-camera comedy pilot hailed from 2 Broke Girls co-creator and executive producer Michael Patrick King and former Ugly Betty executive producers Tracy Poust and Jon Kinnally.
