CBS Renews “Blue Bloods” For Its 13th Season

Blue Bloods is one of the longest-running shows airing on CBS right now and it’s not going away anytime soon. Tom Selleck is coming back for another ride as Frank Reagan after the network announced the renewal of this show for its 13th season.

Kelly Kahl, president of CBS Entertainment, confirmed the show’s renewal in an official statement, saying that America’s favorite first family of law enforcement is back for Season 13.

“The Reagans possess an incredible bond with audiences literally everywhere and on every platform. And in its 12th season, with over 250 episodes, Blue Bloods not only continues to dominate in the ratings but excels at an exceptionally high creative level,” said Kahl.

Blue Bloods premiered on CBS in 2010 and it centers on members of the Reagan family, who spent decades working as members of New York City law enforcement. Tom Selleck leads the ensemble, while the rest of the cast includes Donnie Wahlberg, Bridget Moynahan, Will Estes, Len Cariou, Marisa Ramirez, and Vanessa Ray.

Blue Bloods grew into a huge hit since its premiere, becoming the no. 4 series on broadcast television with an average of 9.81M viewers. Season 12 is currently earing on CBS and the season finale is set to premiere on May 6.
